Established in 2014, Draycott Sounds has grown into a vibrant and passionate choir, united by a love of singing and a strong community spirit. Through the highs and lows—including the huge challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic—we’ve kept going with determination and heart.
 

Unfortunately like many choirs, our membership fell dramatically during the lockdown years. But we’re proud to say that by 2025, we had grown to around record 48 members.

As a community choir we are keen to support local good causes. Donations collected at our concerts are gifted to charities voted for by choir members. 
 

A tribute to our musical leaders

A special mention goes to our Musical Director, Christine Hunt and Accompanist Kathryn Brown, who’ve been with us through most of this incredible journey. Their dedication and talent have helped shape Draycott Sounds into the choir it is today.

We also fondly remember Aubrey Brazier, who established the choir in 2014 and who sadly passed away late in 2025.
