DRAYCOTT SOUNDS
About us
Draycott Sounds is a mixed-voice community choir with singers of all ages and abilities. The choir is led by an experienced Musical Director and singer (from Rolls-Royce Ladies Choir) Christine Hunt and talented pianist, Kathryn Brown.
​There are around 50 choir members and we all joined because we enjoy singing with others. We have fun, make new friends and go away happy and de-stressed.
Repertoire
​The choir sings in 4-part harmony and has a wide repertoire including songs from the shows, popular hits, folk music and of course a range of festive music.

Rehearsals
We meet every Tuesday evening at St. Mary’s Church Hall in Draycott.
Arrival and set-up: 7.30pm
Start: 7.45pm
Close: 9.30pm.

Raising money for good causes
Draycott Sounds perform at a number of events across Derby as well as hosting our own concerts to raise money for charity. In 2024 the choir raised £1,623.10 for a range of good causes. Money is collected throughout the year then divided equally amongst the three charities.
